Our psychology degree is accredited by the British Psychological Society, and so is your first step towards becoming a chartered psychologist working in areas such as forensic, health and clinical psychology. The abilities you develop will also serve you well in related areas such as teaching, human resources, health and social care, and research. You’ll have opportunities to examine topics such as what brain events occur during a phobic reaction, how to maintain psychological wellbeing, and why some people are psychopaths. Preparing students for their future careers is something we are very passionate about, we provide employability-based opportunities and support through the degree. We have a ''Professional Skills'' module in year two, where you’ll undertake a project which advances your career-specific skills and knowledge. Students can also choose to complete a brief internship with an external organisation during year three, gaining additional work experience useful for your intended career.
