This course is designed to help you move towards a career where you can help people to understand and work through their problems. It enables you to explore a range of psychological and counselling approaches and develop your own counselling skills on this accredited course. The Psychology with Psychotherapy and Counselling course is a Joint Honours degree that enables you to study core Psychology modules alongside the complementary discipline of Psychotherapy and Counselling. Studying these related disciplines provides you with a range of skills and experiences along with the knowledge required to enter into a number of different careers. Throughout this course youll develop excellent observation skills, critical thinking and analysis, and a range of people skills - all highly sought after by prospective employers. Youll learn about a range of different approaches and techniques that permit you to offer invaluable support for people dealing with a wide range of mental health issues, from bereavement and domestic violence, to sexual abuse, relationship issues and much more.
