Learn about the structure and functions of the human brain through this challenging and technical BSc Psychology with Neuroscience degree. This course will provide you with a solid grounding in neuroscience and is ideal if you are interested in careers or further study in that area. It will also enable you to move on to further training to become a professional psychologist and is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS).As a psychology student you can take advantage of the Department's research laboratories and resources for measuring physiological variables, such as heart rate. The Centre for Integrative Neuroscience and Neurodynamics, housed within the Department, is equipped with a range of physiology and neuroimaging technologies – including an MRI scanner, TMS, EEG and pain labs. There are many opportunities for you to get involved with its research.The first two years of the course provide you with a broad overview of psychology, and are required for BPS qualification. You will study modules covering areas such as cognition, neuroscience, development, personality and social psychology. Neuroscience modules are taught by staff from the internationally renowned Centre for Integrative Neuroscience and Neurodynamics.
