If you lack the qualifications for a full degree or feel unprepared for degree-level study, our Foundation Year acts as a stepping stone into a psychology degree. By successfully completing this year, you seamlessly progress to our BSc Psychology course which will give you the skills needed to pursue exciting career opportunities, ranging from clinical psychology and forensics to government policy and elite sports coaching.
What will you learn?The Foundation Year engages you comprehensively, blending interactive lectures, workshops, and virtual laboratories. It equips you with the essential knowledge, understanding, and skills for successful degree-level study in psychology. Through individual and group projects, you'll gain formative feedback, ensuring a solid grasp of core concepts. You'll switch into our psychology degree which will introduce you to key psychological practices, giving you an expert understanding of everything from cognitive and social psychology to biological and developmental psychology. You’ll also gain an in-depth knowledge of human behaviour, which will open up a wide range of career opportunities and specialist study routes.
