Our Psychology degree will give you the skills you need for a successful and rewarding career, as you study the science of being human. You’ll explore conceptual frameworks in psychology, investigate psychological questions and look at ways that psychology can help us in everyday life. With a practical focus and opportunities to gain experience in settings such as self-harm helplines, learning support teams and marketing departments, our graduates stand out from the competition. Our students can also take advantage of our specialist facilities, including electroencephalogram (EEG) equipment to measure brain activity and virtual reality technology to investigate how environments shape thoughts, feelings and behaviour. Our degree benefits from accreditation with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and offers your first step towards becoming a chartered psychologist, working in areas such as forensic, occupational and clinical psychology. Other graduates go on to work in fields such as teaching, human resources, health and social care and research. Optional modules and opportunities to undertake your own live research project also allow you to tailor your study to match your individual career ambitions. This course also scored 92% for academic support in the National Student Survey 2024.
