Introduction
Develop the professional expertise needed to plan, develop, manage and deliver complex projects. Applicable to any industry, our course is Association for Project Management (APM) accredited. It is designed for graduates and professionals who wish to enter a career, or further their existing career in project management. Our MSc Project Management takes a generic approach to project management. It provides the opportunity for you to develop a comprehensive understanding of the role of the project manager and a broad understanding of the management processes and practices involved in the development and operation of projects from inception to completion. You will develop the knowledge and applicational skills required to manage projects in a wide range of organisations that use projects.
Uniquely our MSc Project Management recognises that management is an individual and personal activity; every manager manages in their own way. Consequently, the course enables you to develop your own unique approach to managing projects, based on good general management and specialist project management skills. We’ve combined advanced theory and research modules to create a course that you’ll be able to draw on throughout your career. Accredited by The Association for Project Management, APM is now in receipt of a Royal Charter adding further value to this distinctive qualification. Our MSc Project Management is also available as a distance learning course. Our courses are designed according to principles of effective learning, through storytelling, discussion, visible learning, and using community support to celebrate progress. As a distance learning student, you'll use Future Learn, a secure online environment where you can access tasks and learning resources.
How you'll be assessed
You’ll be assessed in a number of different ways including research projects and reports, written coursework including essays and case studies, group work and presentations, examinations and a dissertation.
Careers
