This work-based learning Level 6 Top-Up degree is designed to be undertaken on completion of a foundation degree, or other Level 5 qualification, in an area related to the support of children, young people and families. This work-based learning Level 6 Top-Up degree is designed to be undertaken on completion of a foundation degree, or other Level 5 qualification, in an area related to the support of children, young people and families. This degree is an ideal preparation for a range of roles and responsibilities within the integrated, extended or children’s services. You will have the opportunity to develop subject expertise while engaging with current debate and professional practice. You will be introduced to new concepts and higher order skills such as synthesis and critical evaluation and will be supported in this by a specially designed induction programme. Topic areas include evaluating debates around children’s services and the challenges of working across multi-agency boundaries.

Entry requirements

GCSE/National 4/National 5:

C Grades / Points required

Successful completion of a foundation degree in a relevant area or equivalent Level 4 and 5 qualifications. We require GCSE English Language at minimum Grade C or 4 (or accepted Level 2 equivalent). We welcome students with a range of qualifications and we treat every application on its own merits. DBS Requirements: Applicants who are offered a place and accept will be contacted regarding the DBS application, which will be completed via an external company.
