Taught by former police staff and internationally renowned academics using state of the art facilities, the BSc (Hons) Professional Policing degree will equip you with the specialist knowledge and skills required for a rewarding career in the modern police service. This course is one of the three routes to becoming a police constable and starting an exciting career in policing. This course is approved by the College of Policing and is underpinned by the National Policing Curriculum. Whilst this degree doesn’t guarantee acceptance into the police when you graduate, it does facilitate fast track on- job training should your application to join the police be successful. This degree would also be suitable for those interested in careers in policing outside of police constables. This course is underpinned by the College of Policing’s National Policing Curriculum and will see students engage a range of realistic and authentic learning opportunities using our state of the art facilities here at the University. The first two years of this degree are taught at our Treforest Campus in Pontypridd, while year 3 will be taught at our Glyntaff Campus in Pontypridd. These campuses are located just a short stroll away from each other.
