This programme will allow you to achieve qualified teacher status (QTS) and become part of our long-standing heritage in training teachers since 1847. A large proportion of our partner schools are graded Ofsted ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ – so you’ll work alongside teachers of exceptionally high standards.You’ll learn through lectures and smaller-group workshops and seminars – while gaining experience on school placements. From city to village schools or early years settings, you’ll experience a range of classroom environments over a minimum of 120 days. You’ll put theory into practice on blocks of placement weeks throughout the three years of the course. Lectures focus on developing your subject knowledge and pedagogy, and are carefully structured around your increasing understanding of practice from placement experiences. The emphasis on professionalism throughout the course prepares you to become an excellent teacher.
