Become the qualified primary teacher you aspire to be. You’ll learn how to improve the lives of young children with our expert guidance and research-led teaching.Over your three-year course you’ll develop as a skilled and confident primary teacher, committed to the needs of each child you meet. On the 3-7 pathway you’ll specialise in teaching children within the Early Years and Key Stage 1. On the 5-11 pathway, your focus will be on teaching children in Key Stage 1 and 2 within primary schools. We’ll build your confidence to teach across all National Curriculum subjects, and the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) on the 3-7 pathway. You’ll study tailored modules that will offer a wide range of creative and inclusive approaches to learning.As part of this course, you’ll:Develop your subject knowledge and learn how to teach English, mathematics, science and the full range of Foundation subjects in your chosen age rangeGain an in-depth understanding of teaching and learning within your chosen age range Take an holistic approach to nurturing young learners and apply the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage on the 3-7 pathway Understand how children learn, and respond to the needs of pupils aged 3-11 by adapting your teaching approaches to meet their individual requirements
