Our professional tutors and high-calibre guest speakers teach the fundamentals of storytelling, production and screen business skills.The BA (Hons) Practical Filmmaking course (Three-Year) is taught by industry professionals in an exciting, creative environment, and designed to help students get the careers they want in the screen industries. Specifically, this intensive two-year course seeks to educate students to be employable, inspired, skilled, entrepreneurial, and creative, with a deep understanding of the traditional and emergent screen landscape, in an environment that blends the academic with industry through deep practice. - Year 1 modules provide students with a grounding in all the basic aspects of filmmaking & short film development. - Year 2 modules allow students to explore various genres of TV & film production. - Year 3 modules enable students to enhance their skills in screenwriting, directing or cinematography. Students also participate in the creation of a long-form feature film and engage in two research We concentrate on employability right from the start and as a student and graduate of MetFilm School, you get access to our dedicated careers advice department, MetFilm Futures, who focus on supporting you and ensuring you develop the skills needed to succeed in the industry.
