Having been established as a uni in the 1990s, Coventry University is classed as a new university, although its teaching roots date back to 1843 when it was the Coventry College of Design. It now has more than 27,000 students and offers undergraduates a choice of around 190 degree programmes, including subjects in the arts, humanities, business, law, engineering, computing and health sciences. In and around Coventry there are three campuses with the main one in the city centre, and the uni has further sites in Scarborough and London. Coventry is a young and vibrant city and is home to two unis, meaning thereâs plenty of entertainment on offer for its students. It was also awarded the prize of UK City of Culture in 2021.
