The MSc Physiotherapy (pre-registration) provides a contemporary research-enhanced curriculum with a minimum of 1000 hours of professional practice experience and an accelerated route into the profession. It is an ideal study pathway for graduates with a related first degree wishing to become physiotherapists. The inclusive programme will build on your personal and graduate skills to prepare you for working independently and with others to provide high-quality, person centered care that aims to optimise health, function and well-being for individuals and populations. It aims to promote and support living well and self-management for everyone, including where populations are impacted by structural health inequalities and where people are living with long term conditions. The programme has a strong emphasis on inclusive education to support skill development for effective communication, evidence-based practice, professionalism and leadership in healthcare, alongside promoting a systematic understanding of the core principles underpinning physiotherapy practice to guide clinical reasoning and health promotion. On completion of the programme graduates are eligible to apply for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council and membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
