By combining physics with astrophysics, you'll use the principles of physics to explore the cosmos – from our own solar system to galaxies and cosmology – and develop your understanding of the material world. You'll study the physical nature of bodies and processes in space, and the instruments and techniques used in modern astronomical research. Adding a professional placement year to your degree allows you to gain valuable work experience and discover how physics is applied in the real world.
