The student support for mental health etc, is amazing and the staff try to help students to get the most out of the course as possible. The campus is beautiful and the campus east accommodation is very high quality. Something to be improved is the facilities on campus as everything was open on weekends last year, but this year all the shops and cafes and places to eat etc, on campus are closed on weekends despite students obviously living here on weekends too.

One of the main advantages of the University of York is its wide range of courses. Here everyone will find a suitable direction for themselves. Another important aspect is a big range of student communities. Students are very active in sports, art, music and many other areas. All these communities are available to anyone who wants to try something new. I would like to draw special attention to the high level of teaching. Each student has full support from teachers who are always ready to help. Among the disadvantages, I can highlight the difficulties in the schedule. Lectures are not always conveniently spaced throughout the day and can sometimes have more than 2 hours of free time between them, which is inconvenient for students living far from the university.

Best experience is the feel/life uni has given me e.g. my friends through my course as well as my position on my college committee - with the collegiate system allowing this to occur. Perhaps worst aspect so far is the semesterisation and how that has caused significant change within my department, mainly for the worst leading to a lack of teaching time, overall confusion to new systems and move away from lectures to 'problem based learning' which has not been implemented too well at the moment

Great location and lovely environment to be in whilst studying and walking to and from campus. Sports is lacking in funding and facilities as well as resources.

Very well maintained campus and good resources for studying. Friendly staff and students, welcoming. Some areas to improve is cost of living support and housing .
