I like the location of the university as it is by the town centre so it makes it easier to go there to buy items on the way back home. In addition, the food available in campus are really good too. Student life is well promoted by the student union which makes it fun since a lot of people participate. I think the only thing I wish they could improve is change back the library's opening time to 24/7.

My main reason for choosing to study at the University of Plymouth was because it is so close to the city. All of my lectures are all within 5 minutes of the halls and places outside of the university are within 15 minutes. With the recently improved Smeaton building, Computer Science has felt very professional and the large meeting room on the east side is very welcoming making for a great place for lab sessions, meetings with tutors and personal study. The support at the university is also plentiful with help from our tutors, module leads and second/third year peers. Student life was very easy to settle into with freshers week but I can't say much about the student union or the universities night life as I don't do that sort of stuff all that often. I have heard many mixed opinions on the student union events with some people saying that the SU is always a great place to hang out after a long day (and is often the go to place when other plans fall through) while other people prefer seeing what the night life is like in Plymouth as a whole.

In addition to the high standard of education being given, they make international students feel welcomed. There's good sense of belonging.
