PhDs in this area will be supervised by the Statistical Cybermetrics Research Group, a team of recognised experts in scientometrics, webometrics, and altmetrics. A majority of the research submitted by the group to the last national evaluation (REF2014) was judged to be ''world leading''. The three topics involve quantitative analyses of publication or web data to investigate methods to evaluate research outputs. PhD ideas from any of these areas will be considered, in addition to statistical PhDs that address issues deriving from scientometrics, webometrics, or altmetrics.Full-time (4 years)
Applicants for a research degree shall normally hold either: a first or upper second class honours degree, or a masters degree, or evidence of prior practice or learning that is accepted by the Dean of Research.
