Working closely with an academic supervisor gives you the support to carry out your own independent research. To identify a potential supervisor who shares your research interests, we suggest you read about our doctoral supervisors and that you contact them one at a time, to express your interest and discuss your research proposal.
The School offers three pathways to gain a doctoral degree - the PhD (full-time and part-time) and two professional doctorates: the Doctor of Education (part-time) and the Doctorate in Educational Psychology (full-time).
The minimum academic requirement for entry to a doctoral degree is a UK upper second class undergraduate honours degree and a Master's degree, or equivalent.
