Our breadth of expertise in the health and social care field means we understand organisational, professional, practitioner and service user needs. In the 2014 Research Excellence Framework, 68% of LJMU’s health-related research was considered world leading or internationally excellent. We collaborate on research projects with other institutions and health and social care service providers. We focus on a specific practice-related problem or investigate an aspect of health and social care where there are gaps in current knowledge. Investing in our people We encourage the development of research skills in our staff, with several members having successfully completed PhDs and others registered for MPhils/PhDs. Our staff are involved in a variety of research-based activities leading to a high number of publications and conference presentations.
You will need: a minimum 2.1 or Masters degree with a research dissertation in a relevant subject. We also welcome applications from those with non-standard qualifications who can demonstrate knowledge, experience, and skills developed in the workplace or other setting relevant to the programme of research.
