The School of Engineering and Materials Science has vibrant and successful research community with several research centres.
Engineering at Queen Mary has a distinguished tradition in both teaching and research, dating back to the beginning of the 1900s while Materials research has been carried out at Queen Mary longer than any other institution in the UK.
