Building on our reputation for high-impact research, we provide opportunities for aspiring researchers to gain a PhD, MPhil or MbR across our wide range of subject areas. Our research degrees are awarded by the University of Leeds, so you'll get access to a world-renowned research qualification and first-class support from our own internationally acclaimed researchers. The PhD programme is usually three to four years full-time, with part-time options taking five to seven years, and the Masters by Research (MbR) is usually a one-year full-time programme or two years part-time.
A full Masters degree awarded by a UK university or Masters degree from a non-UK institution deemed to be equivalent to a UK Masters degree
