The School of the Built Environment comprises Construction Management and Engineering and Architecture.
We recognise the value of knowledge-sharing and innovative collaboration across disciplines. When you embark on a PhD with us, you'll study as part of the wider School of Built Environment, so you'll benefit from wider interdisciplinary expertise.
We offer three doctoral programmes within the School of the Built Environment. There are many opportunities to explore research topics, which span interdisciplinary boundaries:
To be accepted onto a research degree programme, you will need to have obtained a strong merit grade (equivalent to 65% or above on a UK programme for both the coursework and the dissertation) on a master's degree in a relevant field, but applicants with other qualifications may be accepted in certain circumstances.
