The outcomes of this research are expected to represent a significant and original advancement of knowledge in the chosen field and will be published in leading science and/or engineering journals, as well as at the end of programme doctoral thesis. PhD programmes can be self-funded or sponsored by industry, the University, a research council, or a combination of these.
