As a centre for academic interest in a very extensive range of topics, we are well placed to offer supervision for projects that cross national and disciplinary boundaries. Take advantage of the Institute’s renowned programme in research skills and methods for all researchers, taught by lecturers and professionals from the Institute and across the UK. With guidance from our expert supervisors, you'll carry out extensive independent research culminating in a thesis of up to 100,000 words. Entry requirements

A Masters degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline such as Latin American Studies, Caribbean Studies, History, Anthropology, Politics, Sociology, International Relations, or related fields from a recognised university.

Strong academic background and ability to carry out independent, original research.
