They are very good with course support and the seminars are very engaging They have been very behind with the placement work this year

I like that they have a lot of multicultural events. I hope they would have more events that do not clash with class hours.

Best aspect: amazing facilities, highly professional tutors and staffs, everyone seems to have good heads on their shoulders. High teaching standard and it's nice meeting people from other cultural settlements. Worst aspect: more of a recommendation, extracurricular activities to establish a better inculcation, especially for foreign students. For instance, city tour for foreign students, debates, sports etc, this will facilitate better friendship between students

My uni has a really supportive environment, both academically and socially. The lecturers are approachable and genuinely want students to succeed, and there are plenty of opportunities to get involved with societies, networking, and events. I’ve met people from different backgrounds and made friendships that have really shaped my experience. The campus facilities are good, and there’s always something happening — from academic workshops to social activities — which keeps things engaging. Communication can sometimes be slow, especially around timetabling and assignment feedback. During busier periods, support services can take a while to respond, and I think there could be more consistency across departments. Also, more study spaces during peak times would make a big difference. Overall though, these are things the uni is improving on, and the general experience has been positive.

The teachers and the whole university really supports students and if anyone has any questions, they will help students.

The facilities are fantastic, especially for the healthcare courses as we have state of the art equipment and programmes. Everyone at Sunderland is so kind and always willing to help. The SU is always holding trips and events so it’s a good way to get out of the city. The only negative I would say is that Sunderland isn’t very student friendly, there’s not much to do here. However, that being said, it does have a lower cost of living than bigger cities and its only a 30 min metro ride straight into Newcastle City Centre which is a big city with lots of student spots to check out. Therefore I would say its a cheap option with an absolutely fantastic University but is very close to some great places.
