On our BSc (Hons) Pharmacology (Foundation Entry) course youll receive a solid foundation in science. Discover how disease affects the human body and how drugs can help to restore normal function. This course offers an integrated approach to understanding how a healthy body works, what happens when theres underlying disease and how drugs act to treat a patient. Youll explore where drugs come from, how theyre developed, and how they affect the human body and help in the fight against disease. Youll be learning from expert staff – many are active researchers in areas such as neuropharmacology, nanotechnology, drugs of abuse, and cancer treatments. Foundation entry degree courses like this one are ideal if youve got the ability to study for a degree but you dont have the qualifications needed to directly enter the full honours degree programme. During the foundation year well equip you with the essential knowledge and understanding of theoretical and practical science skills youll need to succeed at degree level.
