The Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Public Health is an innovative course for anyone who currently works, or would like to become involved in, work which focuses on addressing the determinants of health. This is a relevant and engaging learning experience for a wide range of professionals working to achieve improvements in health. Youll develop the skills required to meet existing and emerging challenges in public health. This postgraduate course emphasises applying theory to practice and developing relevant skills. Youll look at planning, strategies and public health in action including key themes such as diet and nutrition, children and young people, healthy settings and the media. Case studies are used to consider real world approaches to the subject of public health. A postgraduate qualification in Applied Public Health can lead to rewarding careers in health community work, health promotion, sport and leisure, environment, and education.
