This Nursing Postgraduate Diploma is made up of theory and practice based learning, and aims to provide you with the professional disciplinary knowledge for your preferred field of nursing – adult, children’s or mental health. It will give you the opportunity to: Transfer your skills and experiences to become a fully-qualified nurse in two years Undertake placements in a varied range of practice learning environments e.g., acute hospital, community, patient’s own homes, clinics and in the private and independent sector. Study theoretical elements that will teach you professional leadership, research skills and evidence-based knowledge as a registered nurse in order to deliver safe, compassionate care, with a focus on undertaking assessments, clinical decision making, delivery of person-centred care, all with the evaluation of nursing practice. Choose to study the Postgraduate Diploma course or Master of Science Nursing degree and specialise in either Adult, Children’s or Mental Health Nursing.

A health related undergraduate degree of 2:2 or above is required for this course. Additional qualifications needed include: Certificated evidence of completion of general education for 10 years. 5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above including English, Maths and evidence of IT skills.
