The PGCert in PLAB 2/Medical Licensing Assessment (MLA) (MLA) preparation will prepare International Medical Graduates to complete the external General Medical Council (GMC) MLA and therefore be eligible to work in the UK.

This 13 week-long PGCert in PLAB 2/MLA Preparation is the first of its kind to be run by a British university, taught by academics with a wealth of clinical experience. The course will enable you to gain the necessary knowledge and skills required to complete the external GMC PLAB2/MLA.

There will be a particular focus on the Clinical and Professional Skills Assessment (CPSA), as well as a focus on the aspects of the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to undertake the Applied Knowledge Test (AKT).

Unlike other PLAB 2/MLA Preparation courses, we also offer the option to include Intermediate Life Support (ILS) training, approved by Resuscitation Council UK. ILS training is essential for working as a doctor in the NHS. By including this in your training, you will meet this crucial requirement and enhance your competence in emergency situations, making you a more attractive candidate for NHS roles.
