Overview of the programme
The Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education is ideal for newly-appointed lecturers in higher education and researchers with teaching responsibilities.
The aim of the programme is to develop participants approaches to effective teaching, learning, assessment and evaluation practices in a higher education context. In addition, the programme supports the development of the scholarship of learning and teaching.
The programme of study focuses on the delivery of level 4 and above programmes on the Qualifications and Credits Framework (QCF) and the wider context of supporting learning and teaching in higher education.
The programme is aligned to Descriptor 2 of the UK Professional Standards Framework (Advance HE), and on successful completion of the programme, participants can claim professional recognition as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
