The University of Bolton's online Professional Doctorate in Health and Social Care is designed to support you in producing an original independent contribution to knowledge and/or practice that has a significant impact in the field of health and social care.

At the outset, we'll introduce you to doctoral studies and the principles of research design in health and social care. You'll be supported to contextualise your enquiries and explore research methodology, methods and analysis. Our experienced healthcare professionals will guide you as you conduct your fieldwork project and support you as you plan and write your doctoral thesis.

In order to complete the programme, you'll need to submit a 60,000-word thesis and successfully pass the thesis examination and viva voce examination.
