Courseessentials
Thisisamoderncoursethataimstofacilitatereflectivelearning,clinicaljudgments,criticalanalysis,evidence-basedpracticeandexcellent,empatheticclinicalcare.Thedidacticcourseispredominantly'seminarbased.Atutorwillfacilitatethe'seminarsbuttheyare'studentledwithapproximately50'seminarsoverthethreeyearsofthecourse.Thismeansthat'studentswillbeexpectedtoprepareandpresentthetopicandtocriticallyappraisetheliteratureinthe'subjectarea,bothinwritingandverbally.Thisapproach'supportsthedevelopmentofinquisitivethinking,deeplearningandhelpsdevelopcriticalappraisal'skillsandclinicaljudgement.
A recognised undergraduate dental qualification
All applicants: a dental qualification plus at least two years post-qualification experience. FDS, MFDS or MJDF is desirable.
