You will be provided with a broad foundation in marine science through an interdisciplinary introductory module. You will then have the opportunity to specialise in particular areas through a choice of modules covering topics ranging across marine biology, oceanography, climate, biogeochemistry, geology and geophysics before undertaking a research project on a topic of your choosing. Your future career This course offers flexible module choice and the opportunity to build your skills and experience on a research project in an area you have chosen. You'll graduate primed to start your career or to continue your exploration in research. Graduates often pursue careers in the marine environmental sector or undertake PhD research in marine sciences. Key features of this course The programme allows you to develop sought after skills in laboratory and fieldwork. You can explore and develop your interests in ocean science through the combination of specialist modules and through undertaking your research project working alongside leading experts in the field.
