The best aspect in my uni experience is that it has a vibrant community, close to city centre, teachers are supportive. I have nothing much to complain about our course, facilities and people. The students are hardwarking and willing to ask question in class.

The best aspect of my university experience would have to be the overall course structure. The even split between both theory and practical lessons have been extremely beneficial to my learning. Being able to almost immediately apply my knowledge in practical sessions, with the use of modern technology (ie Virtual Reality headsets), I have been able to grasp concepts far better but also enjoy my course a lot more. The various facilities like simulation suites have shown me that UWE is ultimately equipping students for their future careers through application instead of simply loading them with content, which I highly value. The student support given by both educators and various student bodies have also made a huge impact in my transition from abroad. Having a university environment that genuinely values each and every one of their students and ensures that they are heard has contributed immensely to my satisfaction. The only major negative that I have experienced is the distance from the student accommodation to the washer/dryer area. I think it becomes a slight inconvenience and would be beneficial to have washing areas in each accommodation block, instead of only having one for the entire campus.

UWE Bristol is known for offering a vibrant student experience, excellent employability outcomes, and significant investment in facilities, but it also faces some criticisms typical of large modern universities. ### Best Aspects There is a vibrant extracurricular scene, with over 160 societies and sports clubs, and an active Students’ Union hosting frequent events. The city of Bristol is renowned for its cultural life, creative opportunities, and inclusivity—something UWE students can easily access due to multiple city-based campuses. Student life at UWE is actively supported by a dedicated Student Life Team, health and wellbeing services, and plenty of initiatives to ensure students feel at home Support services are available for complaints and grievances ### Worst Aspects Some students and alumni note management issues—such as occasional difficulties with course organisation or communication with university services—which can lead to frustration, especially with handling student complaints.Although facilities are generally praised, there have been instances where certain departments lag behind in resources or organisation compared to national top-tier universitie. The university’s reputation still carries some “ex-polytechnic” perceptions among a minority of people, but its rapid improvement in league tables and teaching standards has lessened this gap

It’s good for anyone who lives on campus as the library is accessible and a quiet place to study. I would love gym facilities on campus here.

Campus is really pretty but difficult to access on public transport. No direct bus routes to train stations and general buses to the campus (Glenside) are really limited. There's also not enough parking to accommodate all the students, especially as cohorts are getting bigger and bigger. Lots of equipment and wheelchairs to use and practice on are available on campus which is really good, especially in preparation for placements. May be good to have an electric wheelchair though? Lecturers are generally really nice and supportive, but not always good at replying to emails. Glenside is generally a smaller campus but it definitely lacks a feeling of student community and activity when compared to campuses like Frenchay, and due to poor transport links and distance from the city centre it can't even make up for it through city centre activities.
