Our BSc Children’s Nursing degree will help you develop excellent care for children, young people and their families. This course equips you with the skills, knowledge and confidence to care for children in a variety of settings including the hospital and community. The primary aim of the course is to ensure that King’s Nursing graduates can deliver safe, effective and compassionate care to the public at their point of registration and that they have the ability to develop and refine their proficiencies as qualified practitioners. This course offers students the opportunity to develop the proficiencies required for registration as a Children's Nurse. Course Aims: To provide you with the knowledge and understanding of how to maintain individual and professional accountability while practicing interdisciplinary working. An understanding of the concepts of equity, equality and diversity and how these apply when nursing children, young people and families with complex health and social care needs. Understanding of the psychological theory and its application to nursing practice and to understanding the relationship between mental, physical and emotional health.
