Course info

Nurses perform a vital role in 21st Century healthcare, in both primary and secondary care settings, restoring and promoting health, supporting patients and their families, and profiling healthcare needs of communities. The University of Lincoln recognises the challenges facing current and future healthcare and nursing practice, offering three distinct nursing programmes specialising in adult, child, and mental health. Our student nurses played a key role during the Covid-19 pandemic. As well as supporting hospitals and vaccination centres across Lincolnshire, their help played an integral component to the success of the University's Test and Trace Centre. We're extremely proud of our students for their contribution and dedication.

It is a good location and campus. I do think that the structure of the course needs changing but this is more of an NMC change the university is complying with what is recommended

The level of support from teaching staff has been second to none. I have felt welcome and supported throughout my enrolment and start of academic year, both on a personal and educational level.

The facilities are great for practicing and most of the teachers are always there to help you. The placement experience is great and there are a lot of different teams for you to learn from around Lincolnshire. The course was changed during my second year which made everything feel unorganised and some modules were poorly delivered due to it being the first time it was taught, however I have faith as the university really values student feedback and makes changes for the better regarding this.

Great support from some of the lecturers. Parking is NCP so could do with a little support from uni with parking, especially for those travelling from outside of Lincolnshire as travelling is already costly without parking as well. Final module of the service transformation could do with being looked at and altering in terms of its teaching and the relevance in preparing students to become qualified nurses.
