I love UEA and Norwich (I'm on my second degree from here!) I think aspects of my course could be better but that's a nationwide issue, not just UEA.

The university grounds are beautiful, lovely places to walk and chill with friends. The buildings and classrooms are sometimes outdated but it helps give the university personality. The food on campus is generally good, and the coffee is great! All the staff who work on campus are lovely as well. The university is a great place to meet new peope, and do activities that you enjoy, with the many clubs and societies there is something for everyone. The library is a fantastic place to study and they have a great choice of books both in the library and online, the library staff and very helpful as well. He library is set out great so you can chat to your friends and grab a coffee whilst working or sit in a quiet area to focus. There is alot to do and see around campus, it is easy to access whether by bus, car, park or ride. If you live close its a nice walk or bike ride. The students support has been great so far, chances to catch up with your personal advisors and places to go if you need extra help or support. Brilliant atmosphere and brilliant place to learn. But as stated before some buildings and classrooms can do with being updated as some parts look very washed out and old.

The university has a great vibe. It has beautiful surroundings and there is so much to get involved within. I am a parent, mature student, I commute and I have a disability. All of these things enable me to be supported in different societies, funding and by different teams within the university. I feel the most enabled I have ever felt and I am so passionate about being part of this University. The course itself has been very good so far, If I could suggest any improvements it would be communication. However we have just experienced a global pandemic and are just getting back to life as normal (ish) so i feel everyone has learned a thing or two.

My lecturers are all lovely and really supportive. I haven't needed to access student support for wellbeing but it seems like it would be easy to do so if necessary. I receive a lot of support for my assignments if needed, and it's easy to get answers to questions I have. I don't like how accommodation keeps going up in price each year - it doesn't affect me, but it's not really fair for new students, especially as nothing has changed in the accommodation in terms of updating it.

I think UEA has a lot of facilities, especially for my degree. We primarily have practical sessions in the Edith Cavell Building, which has mock hospital wards, immersive scenes and training equipment. A negative would be that we have not had enough equipment to practice critical skills individually on occasions. The accommodation is lovely and handy that it is right on campus. The library is my favourite building as it is vast, always has the book I want and has plenty of space for individual, quiet or group work. There are loads of cafes on campus, essentially in every building. The shop is alright but overpriced. I have found student support from the wellbeing and embedded teams excellent. Sometimes I have felt I have not had the best support from my academic advisor. Overall, UEA does offer a lot of varied support. Student life seems pretty decent. The SU bar and club are good, but there are regular buses if you want to go out in the city. We have a cafeteria-style 'restaurant', but it would be nice to have an actual restaurant open into the evening as some other unis have. The location is probably the best thing about UEA. It is close to Norwich city centre, about 10 minutes by bus or within walking distance if you want. There are shops within walking distance. The scenery is the best part. UEA has lots of open green space, a lake and a wooded area. It is nice to see how many dog walkers there are, and in the evening, all the rabbits come out. The only downside in terms of look is the concrete, although you do come to love and appreciate it. Honestly, I would say cost is the major issue for me. Food outlets, accommodation, laundry, are all way more expensive than outside of campus. I know that this is common in all universities but it would be nice to have concessions in some places.
