The BSc Mental Health Nursing course will equip you with the knowledge and skills to understand and respond to often complex challenges experienced by individuals which can impact on their physical, mental and social wellbeing. The course is designed to ensure that you feel confident addressing a range of healthcare needs. Mental health nursing prioritises working with individuals, families and carers through the development of helpful relationships. The course allows you, through simulation and practice-based learning, to develop and practice a range of interpersonal skills which support the development of therapeutic relationships. 50% of your time will be spent on clinical placement and as we maintain strong partnerships with healthcare providers we can offer a diverse range of high-quality practical learning opportunities.
