Queen's University Belfast

The atmosphere in the SARC building is phenomenal. Everybody there wants to help you and is always willing to have a chat with you. To improve Queen's, I think greater communication between the staff and students would be beneficial.

The social atmosphere is great, there are plenty of societies and clubs and the SU is brilliant. The quality of teaching has also been great so far.

Queen's has been really good at helping students with the cost of living crisis, providing food and mental health and well-being actives and seminars. They have also made sure that period products are provided in the female bathrooms which is so important for the rising issue of period poverty. The student's union is great! For not having access to the new SU until second year of my degree, I appreciate it so much more, it has some beautiful, study spots especially for students who like a bit of atmosphere and buzz about them while studying. Staff are also really approachable around campus. Overall, I have really enjoyed my time as a student at QUB.

One of the best aspects about this University is that it has so many amazing facilities, including 10, relatively well kept practice rooms in the music building, as well as an extensive support system in the SU. This University is also in a really great part of the city, being only 5 minutes away from the nearest train station, and 15 minutes from the city centre, as well as being surrounded by plenty of cafes and restaurants for students to get meals or a grab a quick coffee before class.

I really like Queens for Music as their facilities are absolutely excellent, particularly SARC with the Sonic Lab. It also gives us great career opportunities through it's various societies, for example Queens Radio that I'm part of
