One of the best aspects of my university experience has been the strong academic support and the practical focus of my course. As an MSc Sport & Exercise Science student, I really value how modules link theory with real-world sport performance, especially in areas like performance analysis and applied physiology. The lecturers are approachable and supportive, and there are good opportunities for placements, volunteering, and professional development, which makes it a great place to prepare for a career in sport science. One aspect that could be improved is earlier and clearer guidance about placement pathways and career routes, especially for international students who may not be familiar with the UK sport and employment system. Providing more structured placement preparation sessions earlier in the course would make the transition into practical experience smoother. Overall, it is a welcoming, supportive, and academically strong place to study.

Love love love all the computer access around campus and all the up to date media kit and technology available to hire out and practice with. I do not like the lack of greenery and plants.

- the actual campus is very well laid out and facilities are good - campus is far from the town centre - town centre is degrading - student union is good, bar multiple cafes and shop on campus as well as student night club

A good experience with good connections and networking oppourtutines. I do feel that more support needs to be put in place for mature students, sometimes it feels like a “school” environment which is strange being a grown adult.

The best part about my Uni experience overall is probably the community feel Bournemouth University has, there is such a friendly, welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive and everyone is really helpful. The facilities here are amazing, especially for media students like myself we get trained on industry leading kit so we are confident when graduating and stepping into industry. The campus is a really nice size, it is always clean and safe and there are so many coffee shops, restaurants and study spaces that suit everyones needs. The support available whether that is academic, mental health, medical or general queries is really good and well advertised, I know where to go to seek support if I need it. The students union put on so many amazing events and opportunities. I don't think there is anything to criticise BU on specifically, I am very happy here. But if I had to give the worst aspect of Uni life it would be struggles with the cost of living at the moment, and having to balance working with studying in order to afford Uni life. However, Uni do provide a lot of things to support this and try to be flexible where they can to allow us to work as much as we need. Accommodation is very expensive which is the biggest downside I think, it is known to be a bit cheaper to live in student housing as a pose to Halls but the standard of a lot of the student houses aren't that great, many of them are cold and mouldy so living in Halls is a much nicer experience but this is ultimately much more expensive.
