This programme develops students to become catalysts for change in preventing disease, improving health, and reducing health inequalities. Taught by active researchers, it provides a strong foundation in the core disciplines of public health, with the option to follow the general stream or choose one of four focused streams-Health Economics, Health Promotion, Health Services Management, or Health Services Research, depending on your interests and career goals.
Applicants should hold a degree at 2:1 level or equivalent in a relevant subject. Applicants with a 2:2 degree must demonstrate at least two years of relevant professional experience. Relevant work experience (paid or voluntary) is preferred. Applicants should also provide evidence of post-16 mathematics education, such as A-level maths, relevant undergraduate modules, or short courses in biostatistics. The personal statement should explain your motivation for studying MSc Public Health at LSHTM, how it aligns with your career goals, and what you will contribute to the programme.
