Develop advanced knowledge and skills of the discipline and practice of project management with our MSc Project Management course. Our MSc Project Management course has a distinctive focus on the strategic management of construction projects, programmes and portfolios, to help you to become a project leader in construction. Graduates from any discipline are welcome. You’ll study the overall planning, control and coordination of construction projects from inception to completion. Emphasis is given to the early stages of project management and the interface with complex clients, including stakeholders with differing objectives. A recurring theme of the course is the dynamic nature of construction projects. You will learn about the need to set clear objectives at the beginning of a project, as well as the importance of updating objectives continually as the project unfolds. Flexible learning: Our MSc Project Management degree is offered as a one-year full-time programme, and as a flexible modular programme taking between 24 and 63 months. You can choose to start in September or the following February. The course is delivered through intensive residential weeks at our Whiteknights campus in Reading and supported by a professional online learning environment.
Normally a good undergraduate honours degree (good second class or above). If you have other qualifications and a number of years relevant work experience, you are welcome to apply.
