You want to problem-solve in a clinical capacity, think independently and practise as a chartered physiotherapist – and you’re ready to get there fast. Our accelerated MSc Physiotherapy is the programme for you.

At GCU, programmes are both highly relevant to your career – and focused on creating meaningful change that contributes to the common good. You’ll gain the expertise and knowledge you need to apply for membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), register with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and become a practising physiotherapist.

You’ll develop new insight in the areas of neuromusculoskeletal, cardiovascular and respiratory therapeutics and neurorehabilitation – combining traditional study with comprehensive hands-on experience in clinical placements. And you’ll have the support of a thriving, friendly and diverse GCU community as you learn.

Graduate prospects

Whether you pursue a career with the NHS, go into private practice or get involved in clinical research, you’ll leave our pre-registration MSc Physiotherapy programme prepared to make a positive impact on your own life and beyond. With a supportive global network and a world-class reputation, GCU graduates go on to rewarding roles throughout the UK and internationally.

Accreditation

With approval from the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) this programme allows you to gain the expertise and knowledge to become a practising physiotherapist.

Assessment methods

We use a wide range of learning and teaching methods to ensure that you have both the necessary knowledge and understanding of business and management and a portfolio of intellectual and personal skills.

Each module on the programme uses its own learning, teaching and assessment strategy to achieve learning objectives. Assessment methods vary between modules and may include unseen examinations, class tests, essays, management reports, case studies, presentations, and group work.

Teaching methods

The learning and teaching methods we use ensure that our programme is both vocationally relevant and academically challenging. Our approach is student-centred, practical, participative and relevant to the needs of employers.

We've moved away from the traditional teacher-centric learning to a more independent learning approach, where you are encouraged to develop critical thinking skills.
