Our MSc in Physiotherapy (pre-registration) programme is a challenging but rewarding course and will enable you to gain skills in evidence-based practice, research, and continuous professional development practice. You will be taught by academic staff with extensive clinical experience and guest lecturers who are experienced clinicians at the forefront of their subjects.Our programme uses a modern and innovative integrated blended learning approach, using technology to support face-to-face teaching, so you will only be in university a maximum of three days a week.On this course you will focus on clinical skills and problem-based learning. These activities are further supported by, lectures, e-learning, practical sessions, tutorials, and online and face-to-face seminars as appropriate.
Five GCSEs at grade C or above, including English language or literature, mathematics and a science subject. An upper-second-class degree (or equivalent) in a related field is required. Related degrees include medical, sport, health, and science degrees, such as biology, biochemistry, chemistry, and physiology. Other degrees are considered on an individual basis. In addition to the above, candidates are required to have practical experience relating to Physiotherapy. Such as work shadowing, work placement or healthcare work experience. Applicants with extensive healthcare experience (e.g physiotherapy assistant, healthcare assistants, care worker) with a 2.2 in a related field, or applicants with a first or upper second classification in a non-specified field but with work experience in a relevant environment will be referred to the Programme lead for consideration.
