Our MSc Maintenance Engineering course is perfect for engineers who have recently graduated and those with experience who are looking to extend their knowledge or update their qualifications with a view to career advancement. Maintenance strategies are central to the smooth operation of complex industrial processes in a wide range of industries, including the automotive, pharmaceutical, nuclear, petrochemical and aerospace industries. The planning and implementation of professional maintenance strategies can reduce costly breakdowns which may interrupt production. They contribute to sustainable engineering practice which benefits the environment as well as driving down costs and improving safety. This course will develop your knowledge of maintenance engineering, tribology, maintenance of complex systems and systems integration. Well cover both the technical and management aspects of maintenance engineering, preparing you for a range of roles associated with maintenance engineering on mechanical plants, such as asset management, plant maintenance and preventative maintenance.Sandwich Year Option
Applicants should hold at least 2:2 degree in related subject such as Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering. Non-standard applications from all candidates will be considered on their merits in the light of the nature and scope of the programme and if they have relevant experience. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to cope with and benefit from Master- level studies.
