Bournemouth University

So far, I have roughly 4 fours left until I'm done with 4 year course and I will truly miss uni! I've had some high and low moments -which is all apart of the journey and also been what I've learned to accept over the years. I feel as if I've been challenged the most during these 4 years. I've gone from living away from home, to having a 9-5 job and currently living on my own. The transitioning for each scenarios was not easy at all, but has been so worth it! I look at myself and see so much growth and maturity in the things I've accomplished over the past few years and it makes me excited to see what the future holds! If I didn't come to uni, these experiences may not of happened for a few more years - who knows? I'm glad I took a chance on Bournemouth, I fell in love with the area and the people from the 1st day I came. I've also met my best friends who I've had some low times with but altogether I consider them family and honestly can say I don't know how I would have made it throughout uni without them! From my 21st birthday, to movie nights, late night kitchen meetings, etc. - our memories are countless and so memorable! As I've basically been living in Bournemouth and would visit London on occasion, this has influenced how I feel about my immediate family (for the better). I've missed them more and even realised one of the best people in my life has been and will always be my mom, she has supported me in so many different ways - I could never thank her enough. I also respect a lot of the choices my parents made for me now that I've had the opportunity to work (and study) full time, whilst living on my own and having to do everything for myself. It's been a whirlwind but, the experience has really opened my eyes and prepared me for the real world in some many ways. I'm so happy with my journey and a little sad that it's coming to an end so soon, but overall I've had the time of my life!

Location - night life could be better not much to do in the daytime Facilities are good, student support 24/7 library Decent amount (and diverse range) of societies Could improve pricing in bars and shops on campus

The worst aspect is the queue for the U1 buses but they do bring along two buses to tend to this queue at the bus stop. Also I wish that the U2 buses are more frequent to save me and other students time when traveling on the bus to and from uni.

It has been amazing! I’ve been here 2 months and both the uni and the opportunities such as hockey have made me feel comfortable and I’ve made friends here already that I know I’ll be friends with for a very long time

Really enjoying uni life. It is really stressful and I want expecting the work load but I really enjoy my subjects and all the people I’ve met as well. I would definitely recommend university to other students. It’s something someone should experience as it’s completely different from going to school or college. You get to experience new things and meet people you’d never meet otherwise.
