Driven by the financial crisis, the global banking and financial industry has changed significantly over the last ten years. This has shaped the sector’s requirements. A greater demand now exists for professionals who are more risk-aware and able to adapt to an increasing role of technology in the sector as well as evolving consumer needs, and heightened social, economic and political risks. The ability to provide governments, firms and consumers with the financial products they need while keeping the system in balance is of paramount importance. This course will enable you to build on your skills and knowledge by covering the latest developments in the banking and financial industry. You’ll develop a comprehensive understanding of the theories, concepts and quantitative skills necessary in banking and financial operations. You’ll also enhance the analytical skills needed to manage financial products, market securities, investment portfolios, and related risks - gaining a working knowledge of the sector’s needs and direction. This course has been developed in line with the requirements stipulated by key institutes and industry leaders such as the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, the Financial Conduct Authority, the Bank of England and the Bank for International Settlements.
