The course with industrial placement is offered in full-time mode only. The duration of this course is two academic years (including the industrial placement element).
Our Docklands campus is geographically unique and very inspirational for offering this programme. The core elements, i.e. various transportation modes are all located within very close proximity of the actual delivery of the programme, giving a very unique and bespoke learning and teaching experience to students. We have DLR (railway), City airport (runway), road network (including A13) and the Royal Docks/ Asian Business Port (maritime), all within few minutes of the Docklands campus and working in close partnership with us, offering all our students a unique opportunity to succeed as an industry ready professional.

There are 32 London boroughs, the nearby District and County Councils and Transport for London and Consulting Engineers who all have highway and transportation responsibilities. In addition, there are Consulting Engineers who have sections dealing with Highway Design and Transportation so we are not short of market nearby. There is an acknowledged shortage of skilled civil engineers with the right qualifications and experience. We have designed this course to take advantage of this demand and give you a competitive edge when it comes to your career.
Students need to have minimum 2.2 or above, in Computer Science (or equivalent degree with significant maths and computing content). We would normally expect you to have Grade C in GCSE English and Maths.
