In order to develop more sustainably, organisations need asset managers at a senior level with the knowledge, skills and behaviours to succeed. This MSc Infrastructure Asset Management offers the ideal way to develop current and future asset management leaders with specialist education from a leading UK university.
Benefits for students
Our part-time master’s in Infrastructure Asset Management is for current managers and leaders who are now ready to develop the capabilities to lead asset management functions at a senior level.
The programme supports the development of skills across a range of asset management functions, covering the latest theories and thinking in areas such as leadership, strategy, governance, risk management, finance and performance management, organisational change and innovation.
The course is deliberately challenging. We stretch participants as they apply management theories, evaluate current organisational practice and identify improvements.
Learning alongside a cohort of experienced managers, the programme is also a chance to explore fresh perspectives on similar problems and build lasting, trusted networks.
As learners progress, they’ll build sought-after practical skills, learning to create and evaluate solutions, apply critical thinking and creativity, solve problems holistically, and apply ethical and organisational values.
The blended learning approach, with block face-to-face teaching and online content, supports participants to balance their work, learning and personal commitments.
We invite applications from experienced professionals with a degree however, experience is more important than particular qualifications, so we will consider applications from those without formal university qualifications.
Benefits for employers
Several of our employer partners embed our part-time master’s programmes within their plans for talent development and succession, offering their employees transformational personal development opportunities.
This course draws on the expertise of both the Loughborough Business School and Wolfson School of Mechanical, Electrical and Manufacturing Engineering, providing specialist insights and expertise throughout.
At each stage of the programme, participants are asked to draw on their own experience and apply what they’ve learnt to their own organisation.
A minimum of three years management/professional experience plus a 2:2 honours degree (or equivalent international qualification) or membership of an approved chartered institute or a diploma in management studies. Applicants seeking entry based solely on work experience will still be considered but may be invited to interview.
