In 2023 the UK Government, industry stakeholders and partners created a standard for the knowledge, skills and behaviours expected from asset managers at a senior level. This Apprenticeship is designed to help managers and leaders achieve this standard and develop more sustainable organisations.This part-time Infrastructure Asset Management Professional Apprenticeship is particularly relevant if your organisation is looking to invest in its current and future asset management leaders to build your strategic capabilities.This level 7 Apprenticeship is fully funded through the Apprenticeship Levy, allowing employees to study part-time and develop the capabilities to lead asset management functions at a senior level.Benefits to employersYou identify and support the individuals you think would be best suited to this programme, which is designed to stretch participants and develop innovative, self-assured, resilient leaders with the commercial acumen to succeed in today’s challenging environment.Apprentices carry on working with you while they study and apply management theory within your workplace as they learn to adapt to new scenarios and implement new ideas.Through work-based assignments, participants develop practical and innovative solutions to current problems you may be facing. The rest of their time is spent in the workplace applying their new skills and knowledge to your organisation. This enables them to balance their work commitments with studying part time at one of the UK’s leading universities.
A minimum of three years management/professional experience and ideally an undergraduate degree or relevant professional qualification.
We also welcome applications from candidates who do not have a degree but who have been identified by their employer as meeting the necessary requirements for the apprenticeship. These candidates may be asked to an interview meeting with the Programme Director.
Applicants will also need to provide evidence of Maths and English qualifications at level 2 (GCSE grade C or above). This is a government requirement for all apprenticeships.
